To perform his work as a documentary filmmaker, Lawrence must divide himself between two worlds. In one of them, he leads expeditions to some of the most remote natural shrines on the planet, in search of images of animals, often dangerous. In the other - still more inhospitable - it faces our turbulent economy to deliver Brazilian audiovisual products to the main communication groups of Brazil and the world. |
As he says: "On the one hand I have to manage team and equipment in remote locations, such as Tucurui in Pará; build a filming platform on a tree 15 meters high, hold me with 35kg of equipment, and then spend 5 hours a day for 10 days on that platform until you get scenes of screaming howler monkeys. On the other hand, I need to coordinate editors, writers, musicians, graphic artists and finishers - as well as complex relationships with international clients - to deliver films according to the strictest quality standards. "
